Caribbean Poker Rules and Pointers

Online poker has become world famous lately, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. The games popularity, though, stretches back in reality a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years several types on the first poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to twenty-one than old guard poker, in that the gamblers bet against the house rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little concealment or different types of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up just before the dealer declares "No further wagers." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course all of the other players are given five cards. Once you have observed your hand and the casino’s first card, you need to either make a call wager or surrender. The call wager’s amount is on same level to your original wager, which means that the risks will have doubled. Giving Up means that your wager goes immediately to the house. After the bet comes the conclusion. If the dealer does not have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, including a sum equal to the ante. If the casino does have ace/king or better, you win if your hand defeats the casino’s hand. The dealer pays chips even with your ante and set odds on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
