No-Limit Texas Holdem Poker- Howard Lederer?

Howard Lederer lived in a family of five in which he loved betting on numerous card games at a young age. He discovered himself becoming really aggressive in these card games as he was playing his father. After graduating from high school, Howard decided to place college on hold for a bit and moved to New York City to play some formidable chess. While participating in chess, he was introduced to a poker game taking place in the back of the room. Howard’s first 2 years were difficult as he would play countless hours and don’t win a majority of the time. He earned some additional cash by being an assistant for the poker players. He theorized he could improve his game by adjusting his life outside of poker. He brought about an attempt to get more sleep and focus attention more on poker.

The real improvement in his skills happened when he started playing at the Mayfair Club in New York. The Mayfair was a bridge and backgammon club where the the most favorable gamblers would regularly compete against each other. He had access into some of the best minds in chess. With their assistance, Howard Lederer would hone his cunning thinking skills. He used these strategy ideas in the game of No-Limit holdem.

He also helped his sister Annie Duke master poker. Annie was a superb student of the game as she would consistently be asking questions about the right way to make the correct decision. Howard told Annie to move out to Sin City and play in the WSOP tournaments. Annie Duke is one of the strongest women players the poker arena ever. Howard relocated to Las Vegas in 1993 and participated in cash games for the following decade. When the WPT gained popularity, Howard made the decision to participate in more tournaments.
